MARRIAGE NEEDS OUR HELP
NOW!
As you may know, there is an impending crisis against
traditional marriage, the bedrock of our society. Many are still not informed or aware of what is
happening. Here's a summary:
(1) Massachusetts has legalized same sex marriage.
(2) The Senate voted against even discussion of the
Federal Marriage Amendment.
(3) California is teaching children in public schools
the alternative life style.
(4) Canada has passed a Hates Bill Law that
criminalizes speech and writings that criticizes
homosexuality.
(5) Two well known U.S. senators have introduced a hate
crimes bill as an amendment to the Defense Authorization
Act.
(6) The House of Representatives will be voting
for the Marriage Protection Amendment the week of
September 20.

DISTURBING
FACTS
According to the Pew Research Center and the Republican
National Committee, in 2000, close to half of the nation's
59 million evangelical Christians
— that's 24
million Christians —
did not register to vote. And only 15 million of the 35
million who were registered went to the polls. That means
less than half of the nation's evangelicals voted in 2000.
We won't win the battle for marriage that way! |
WE ARE AT A CROSSROADS
As you can see we are at a cross roads in America and we
need to take a stand for traditional family values and
stop the legalization of same sex marriage but many
Christians are not yet involved in VOTING - the most basic
of American civic responsibilities.
That must change now. If we get involved and
elect leaders who share our values then we can win these
moral battles. With a Federal Marriage Amendment in place we draw a
line that permanently stops the erosion of traditional
family values by homosexual activists. As Chuck
Colson says, "This battle for marriage is really the most
important issue in America today.
In Washington many senators and congressmen still don’t
think we are serious about defending traditional
marriage. If you take part in this simulcast, on September 19th we
can demonstrate that Christians across America are very
serious about defending traditional family values. |
