TIPS FOR THE BEST WINDOWS MEDIA VIEWING EXPERIENCE

1. Test things now before the live show.

2. Make sure you have the latest version of Windows Media Series 9 Player

3. Set your monitor or big screen resolution to 800 x 600.  This makes the viewing window way bigger on your screen.

4. Learn how to size the Windows Media Player window. In the lower right corner there is a full screen option that will make the image fill your screen.  There are tons of options in windows media player so you have to play around with it to find how to do what you want to do.  The defaults are always leaving the side bars cluttered with all sorts of info and clutter you really don't need to be there for a clean viewing experience.

5.  Set the tool bars and other peripheral items to auto hide so they go away after a few seconds leaving you with a clear screen.

6.  If you are displaying the stream on a secondary monitor or big screen make sure your monitor 2 settings are at 800x600 as well.  Some combinations will show the windows media window but not show the playing stream.  On some big screens I've called the manufacturer to work out this issue.  So do it now, not on show day.

Streaming Media Tech Support F.A.Q's
Today webcasting works very well for the vast majority of users.  However some users do have problems, especially those who are trying it for the first time.  Below are the most common problems.

(for downloads only)
How do you download the file?

Right Click above where it says "right click here".  Then select "save target as", then give it a name on your hard drive, then click ok.

I didn't get the link

Your email SPAM filter caught and and treated it as SPAM.

Why is the screen black??? no video plays.

Sometimes it takes between 30 sec to 1 minute for a live stream to start. Refresh your browser and wait a minute.
OR check what version of Windows media you have,  7 or 8 can give you black screens.  9 is what you need, link below.

I can't hear the sound

Check the volume on your speakers
Check the volume on your windows software volume control
Is the windows media player mute button clicked on?
Is there other software running that uses the speakers?
The picture is stops and starts Our DIALUP stream is designed to give you decent audio and a decent 5 frames per second at 320x240 size. the picture will be very choppy but that's the limitation of dialup.
Some DSL users make experience some choppiness on the HIGHSPEED stream.  It's a 200k.  If you do, most of the time this is an issue of your actual download speed through your DSL internet connection.
Try hitting the STOP button, waiting 30 seconds, then clicking PLAY again.  You will get a new stream and it may play better.
Make sure there is little or no other download traffic on your PC or
in-house network if possible.
Why can't I change the size of the video image? During the live webcast, the stream player is NOT resizeable.
