4. Host
Voter Registration During the Simulcast |
|
|
The Sept 19th
Simulcast is different than the previous programs. We
have found that the main reason Christians don't have a bigger
impact is simply because they don't vote! Research tells
us that over 30% of Christians are not registered to
vote. We want to do something about that for Sept. 19th.
Plan A: We are asking every host church to allow a local voter
registration group to provide voter registration that night.
Contact one in your area to set this up. Chances are,
someone in your church is already involved with a voter
registration group in your community.
Plan B: Complete church voter registration info is at:
www.ivotevalues.org.
Working with churches
and other national ministries we estimate the registration of
2 million new Christian voters this fall. All this is
perfectly legal for churches to do. Let's work together
as the body to make a difference!

How Do You Hook Up A Webcast? |
Step 1 You need a High
Speed Internet Connection (DSL, Cable Modem, T1 or equivalent)
Step 2 You must have a PC
hooked up with INTERNET ACCESS THROUGH THAT HIGH
SPEED
CONNECTION. And have Internet Explorer (web browser) working on it.
Step 3 Your PC must be
able to display PowerPoint or song lyrics on your
big
screen or TV that you want to watch the Webcast on.
Step 4 To access the webcast
your PC also needs
Windows Media Player Series 9.
Step 5 AUDIO - Have your
audio or music person hook up the audio from the PC audio
output
to your house sound board.
Step 6 If all that is
working then simply launch Internet Explorer on that computer.
Go to
www.wevotevalues.com/support/link.html and go through the live webcast
test
on that
page. During the test you will find out the speed of your connection
and be
able to
watch the appropriate speed webcast. If all of the above is working
you will
see a
live webcast during the test.
If you do not have the above capabilities then do as many pastors have
done. Buy the DVD and use that on another day for your event.
It's important that every church regardless of size or technical
capabilities is able to inform their people on this important issue.
Many churches have opted to show the DVD on Wed. nights or subsequent
Sundays to inform and make their people aware of what's happening in
America.
